Custom Developed & Manufactured Dental Surgical
Implant Kit
The services we provide at Marman Industries encompass all aspects of the product development and manufacturing processes. For this custom injection molding project, we collaborated with a customer to improve upon their previous design of a dental implant surgical kit. The kit is molded using polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) material. PPSU is ideal for applications that require repeated sterilizations and high mechanical strength.
Previously, the tray portion of the kit had been molded using a thermoforming processes. By changing the tray to a fully injection molded part, we were able to realize significant cost savings. Additionally, tooling was designed to accommodate multiple part configurations, adding flexibility to the manufacturing process and creating molds that met the customer's budget constraints. All tooling was designed and manufactured in-house. This allows us to have complete control over the quality of molds while minimizing lead time.
After molding and assembly, kits were silk-screen printed with FDA approved ink. The kit was assembled and packaged to customer specifications. Approximately 5,000 of these kits are produced annually and orders are delivered per pre-established schedules to our customer in Southern California. For additional details regarding this custom injection molding project, see the table below, or contact us directly. We are ISO 13485:2003 certified and FDA registered to best serve the needs of customers in the medical industry.
